Student League

  • This is a team competition of 2 members
  • Current full-time student at an accredited college/ university (will be cross-checked if shortlisted), not yet graduated, not yet exposed to the industry.
  • Vietnamese passport holder
  • Be able to attend the 2019 Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity in Singapore in September 2019 if you are the Gold winning team
  • Gold-winning teams from previous Vietnam Young Spikes and Vietnam Young Lions are not eligible to enter the same League and Category for Vietnam Young Lions 2019
  • Gold prize holders will have a full trip to Spikes Asia.

*Note:

  • Each team can register 1 or more categories
  • Each team can only register 1 league - Student or Industry Practitioner
  • A team of a full-time Student and an Industry Practitioner is not eligible. If the student is officially graduated and in an internship, they can register Industry Practitioner league.

Industry Practitioner League

  • This is a team competition of 2 members
  • Full-time employee from the agency side (advertising, PR, digital, media, event, activation, and publisher) Or client side, Or have experience in advertising, communication or creative media (Freelancer or Intern who is officially graduated from university or college)
  • Vietnamese passport holder
  • Be 30 years old or younger (born on or after 23 September 1989)
  • Be able to attend Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity in France from 17 - 21 June 2019 if you are the Gold winning team or Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity in Singapore in September 2019 if you are the Silver winning team
  • Candidates who won previous Vietnam Young Lions with Gold Prize or represented Vietnam in Young Lions Competitions are not eligible for this year’s Vietnam Young Lions.
  • Gold prize holder will represent Vietnam at Young Lions Competition and receives a full trip with Young Lions Pass to Cannes Lions, 17 - 21 June 2019.
  • Silver prize holder will represent Vietnam at Young Spikes Competition and receives a full trip with Young Spikes Pass to Spikes Asia, September 2019. Silver prize holder of Marketers category will join Spikes Asia as a delegate.

*Note:

  • Each team can register 1 or more categories
  • A team of a full-time Student and an Industry Practitioner is not eligible. If the student is officially graduated and in an internship, they can register Industry Practitioner league.
  • For Digital, Film & Integrated and PR category, members from both client and agency sides are eligible (client - agency, client - client or agency - agency). For Marketers category, only members from the client side are accepted.
  • Candidates who won previous Vietnam Young Spikes with Gold Prize in Industry Practitioner league can join this year's Vietnam Young Lions. However, in case of winning Silver Prize, the team has to pass the privilege of representing Vietnam at Young Spikes Competitions to the Bronze winning team or any team that the jury panel decide.
To enter the competition, you must create a team of two members, complete the online registration form and pay your registration fee.
Make sure all your team's members are eligible before registering.

Prepare these required documents:



a. Your profile photo of each member to be uploaded onto your team registration form on vietnamyounglions.net. File type: JPEG, portrait, max. file size 1 MB. Note: This is for identification purpose, you must upload a photo of yourself with clear identification of your face. We may use it to show in the Final Round.



b. Your ID number ("Số CMND") of two members



c. Clear capture of your ID card ("CMND") of each member, front and back side, file type: JPEG, max. 1MB. Unclear or too small pictures are not accepted.



d. Clear capture of your student card (for Student League only), file type: JPEG, max. 1MB. Unclear or too small pictures are not accepted.

Fill in the registration form and get the first confirmation email. Please fill your personal information carefully as each modification will be charged 100,000 VND. (Please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information).

03.

Pay registration fee and get the second confirmation email with Team ID and Team Hash ID. Remember to save them carefully for submission later. Please make the payment by one of the below methods:

- Student:
Early Bird (11 - 28 Feb): 600.000 VND/team
Standard: 800.000 VND/team

- Industry Practitioner:
Early Bird (11 - 28 Feb): 2.000.000 VND/team

Within 48 hours, teams have to use their creativity and strategic skills to develop an integrated social media campaign in 2 formats:

• A video case (summarizing the work), max. 3 mins, max. 100MB

• A 1-sided A3 page, pdf with max. 10MB

Within 72 hours, each team has to deliver a key message in the most creative way by producing:

• A 60-sec finished film (ready to air) (shoot original footage + edit), max. 100MB

• A 10 slide presentation of an integrated plan, pdf with max. 10MB (including 1 executive summary slide)
