Charlie Nguyen, Vietnamese name is Nguyen Chanh Truc, is Vietnamese–American film director, screenwriter and producer.
In 1992, Nguyen started his own production company called Cinema Pictures in California, which was later evolved into Chanh Phuong Films in 2004 in Vietnam.

Charlie is dubbed the Vietnam’ Steven Spielberg having made several blockbuster films in the country but he is also very mindful to grow young talents around him for his strong passion and love of the arts and creativity.
In 2021, he co-founded 2 startups to seek crowdfunding for Vietnamese films (FamCentral.io) and to nurture script writing talents (VietScript.com).
