He began his career as a strategic planner and has worked on a range of clients across numerous categories from FMCG, technology, finance to public service campaigns. Ogilvy Vietnam is one of the largest and fastest growing agencies in Vietnam Alex has a BA degree from Cambridge University and a Masters degree in Chinese history and law from London University. Tom Guerin is the Managing Director of TBWA\Group Vietnam. He has over 20 years of experience in global marketing and advertising. He spent most of his career in New York City, where he worked at BBDO, McCann-Erickson, Y&R and Lowe. He’s managed client businesses across North American, Asia and Europe. He has extensive FMCG experience with firms such as Unilever, Nestle, Gillette and Kraft. He also has experience managing global financial services clients such as VISA, JP Morgan Chase and Deutsche Bank. Tom has an Economics degree from the University of Michigan and completed the Wharton Executive Development Program at the University of Pennsylvania.
He belongs to the first generation of Vietnamese adman starting his career from the beginning of advertising era in Vietnam in 1999. Started of as an Account Service person at Leo Burnett Vietnam, he became the first local Strategic Planner at JWT Vietnam in 2004, then head of Planning and now Chief Growth Officer of Cheil Vietnam. During his 16 years of experience working in Advertising he has worked through various categories and clients, from FMCG, to financial services, F&B, and most recently consumer technology. Technology and Creativity is the way forward for Marketing and Brand Communications and that’s why he chose to work at Cheil Vietnam - one of the pioneer young agency that put Technology & Creativity at the heart of operation. Phong has a Master degree of Commerce in Marketing from Macquarie University Sydney after finishing his undergrad at Economics University HCMC majoring also in Marketing.

A multi-cultural marketing communications professional, with a huge appetite for great work. Born and educated in France, Michel began his career in advertising as a Copywriter with DDB Los Angeles, on the VW of Americas & GTE accounts. Lured back to Europe three years later, he joined BETC Euro RSCG France for what remains, to date, his only stint in his native country. In 1998, Michel re-invented himself as a full-time “suit” when he started an 11-year tenure at Ogilvy. During his time with the WPP network, he held various senior level executive management positions in Asia, Europe & North America, including Managing Director/Group Managing Director roles in Viet Nam & Indonesia, Regional Business Director on the Coca-Cola Asia Pacific business in Singapore and Global Brand Director roles on the BAT business in New York and Renault & SCA in London. Michel moved back to Asia in July 2011 to join Lowe + Partners in Viet Nam as their Managing Director. Michel is married to Elsa, an Indonesian national, and the proud father of a seven year-old boy, named Kiran.
